Dollar General to hire 500 for new site in Bethel

Dollar General Corp. plans to open a distribution warehouse employing 500 people in Berks Park 78 in Bethel Township, the first of two Fortune 500 companies with plans to open there.

The Dollar General center is a $100 million project slated to open in January 2014, officials said. The project is expected to also employ about 75 truckers.
